“Squid Game” Lee Jung Jae to star in his first ever Disney+ project 

After dominating Netflix, Lee Jung Jae will also be working with Disney+ through the upcoming original series “Star Wars: The Acolyte.” 

It was officially confirmed that Lee Jung Jae will be one of the main leads of the upcoming  “Star Wars: The Acolyte.”

Lee Jung Jae will be working with Joonas Suotamo, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett in the upcoming Disney+ series. 

Preceding "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" by five decades, "Star Wars: The Acolyte" follows a Jedi Padawan and their former master as they delve into a galaxy rife with sinister crimes, challenging the Jedi Order itself. According to producer Leslie Headland, the new drama will be a mix between “Frozen” and “Kill Bill.” 

In the series, Lee Jung Jae will portray the role of a Jedi Master. 

"Star Wars: The Acolyte" will premiere this summer. It will be produced as an eight-part series. 

This will be the first time that Lee Jung Jae will be working with Disney+. Many are already looking forward to Lee Jung Jae and Disney+’s upcoming partnership and whether it will surpass the success he brought to its rival OTT platform, Netflix.

Aside from "Star Wars: The Acolyte," Lee Jung Jae is returning to Netflix this year. The much anticipated new season of “Squid Game” will also premiere this year. He will be working with the newly added cast such as Park Gyu Young, Im Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, Won Jin An, Lee Jin Wook, and more. 

Lee Jung Jae will also make a special appearance in the upcoming action crime movie “Revolver” led by Jeon Do Yeon, Ji Chang Wook, and Im Ji Yeon. 

The top actor was last seen in the 2022 movie “Hunt” with his real-life best friend Jung Woo Sung.
