South Korea's Soju Scene Welcomes a New Flavor!

Are you looking for a fresh take on your beloved Korean liquor, soju? Look no further, for Lotte Chilsung has unveiled a new flavor, and what's even more thrilling is that it remains zero sugar!

Lotte Chilsung Beverage has recently introduced its latest product, "Saero Soju with Apricot Flavor," as the newest addition to its zero-sugar soju range.

With an alcohol content of 12%, the Saero Soju with Apricot Flavor differs from the original soju; it boasts a less bitter and more refreshing profile due to the addition of apricot flavor. This newly launched flavor offers a unique, invigorating taste, distinct from other fruit-flavored soju options in the market, as it comes with reduced sweetness.

The Saero (새로) soju line was introduced by Lotte Chilsung Beverage in 2022. Unlike its competitors, Saero stands out for its zero sugar content, achieved through a blend of non-sweetened diluted soju and distilled soju.

Highlighted on the packaging alongside the "Saero" name, which translates to "zero," is the number 257 and the character Saerogumi. This number holds significance, representing the product's birthplace at 257 Sange-ri, Okgye-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea.

In 2023, Lotte Chilsung also introduced the zero-sugar soju "Saero" to various global markets.

While actor Lee Do Hyun served as the brand ambassador last year, this year, actors Park Ji Hoon and Kim Hye Yoon will represent the Saero Soju with Apricot Flavor.

Just this week, Lotte Chilsung Beverage released a unique advertisement for the new soju flavor. Differing from typical promotions featuring brand ambassadors' faces, this advertisement employs an animated style, with the voices of Park Ji Hoon and Kim Hye Yoon.
