Song Joong Ki’s former K-drama partners Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been will possibly work together in one film!

Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been are in discussion to star in the upcoming movie titled “Dark Nuns.”

Various media outlets revealed on November 13 that Song Joong Ki’s former K-drama partners Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been will be working together on a thriller mystery movie. 

Song Hye Kyo’s agency gave a statement regarding the reports. According to UAA, “Song Hye Kyo did receive the offer to star in the movie ‘Dark Nuns.’ If our artist confirms her casting, this will be her Korean film comeback after almost 10 years since ‘My Palpitating Life’.”

Jeon Yeo Been’s agency also responded to the circulating casting reports. Management mmm revealed, “Jeon Yeo Been is positively in talks to lead the upcoming film ‘Dark Nuns’.”

“Dark Nuns” will be the female counterpart of the Korean 2015 movie “The Priests.” The film was led by Kang Dong Won, Kim Yoon Seok, Park So Dam, Kim Eui Sung, Son Jong Hak, and Lee Ho Jae. Many are already anticipating the female counterpart of “The Priests” because the original film is popular in the movie scene as it garnered over 5 million moviegoers. 

According to the reports, “Dark Nuns” will showcase the story and journey of dark nuns who will perform exorcism. The upcoming movie will begin its production next year. The premiere of the film is still undecided. 

There are no reports as well on which actors will possibly be added to the cast lineup of “Dark Nuns.” 

Meanwhile, both Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been have peculiar similarities that many are curious about their chemistry and whether they will work together. Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been both became the love interest of Song Joong Ki in K-dramas. Song Hye Kyo worked with the actor in the hit 2016 K-drama “Descendants of the Sun.” Meanwhile, Jeon Yeo Been was Song Joong Ki’s partner in the hit 2021 K-drama “Vincenzo.” 

Another similarity between Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been is that both of them led one K-drama this year and it was both Netflix originals. 

Song Hye Kyo led the second part of her hit series “The Glory” while Jeon Yeo Been played two characters in the K-drama “A Time Called You.”
