Key and Minho have been with SM Entertainment for almost 16 years. The two made their official debut in 2008 as a member of the K-pop boy group, SHINee. Aside from being a SHINee member, Key and Minho also became successful in their individual careers. The two are also venturing into acting and variety shows.

The two members of SHINee shared a statement with the renewal of their contracts. Key and Minho stated, “SM Entertainment and SHINee have been together from the beginning until now. We believe we are who we are today because of the people from our agency who worked with us for a long time. We are striving to continue with SM Entertainment and create new beginnings as artists. We are grateful to the fans who have always been there and believe in us, and we promise to show only the good side of us.”

SM Entertainment also commented, “We are happy to continue our great relationship with Key and Minho. Because Key and Minho entrusted us through this renewal, we will give our full support in different activities for Key and Minho to not only continue shining as members of SHINee but also as solo artists.”
