Sanrio to collaborate with South Korea’s biggest theme park, Everland

Are you a Sanrio lover who’s traveling to South Korea this coming Spring? Make sure to add Everland to your itinerary! 

South Korea’s biggest theme park Everland will be having a special collaboration with the famous Japanese company Sanrio this spring. The collaboration will be for their spring flower festival.

Starting on March 22, the Everland x Sanrio partnership will begin with their theme “Fairy Town and Sanrio Characters.”

Popular Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamonroll, My Melody, and more will be placed on Everland’s Four Season Garden which is around 10,000 square meters. It only means that Sanrio lovers will have a huge photo op aside from the enjoyable rides in the theme park. Aside from that, there will also be exclusive merchandise, food, and drinks in the park. 

This is Sanrio’s biggest outdoor event partnership in South Korea and you shouldn’t miss it. 

South Korea has been a Sanrio haven lately. According to a report last year, Sanrio was included in the top 5 favorite characters of young, teens, and even those in their 20s and 30s in South Korea thus many places have Sanrio in them.

Here are other Sanrio spots in South Korea: 

Paradise City, Incheon - Paradise City is collaborating with Hello Kitty for its 50th Anniversary. They have an afternoon tea set as well as a strawberry buffer that is Hello Kitty-themed. 

Sanrio Lovers Club, Hongdae - You can dine in (by reservation) or buy limited Sanrio goods here. The merch store area is open to everyone.

Cafe Harmony - The cafe is My Melody and Kuromi-themed. Just like in Sanrio Lovers Club, you need to make a reservation if you want to dine in. They also have exclusive merch in the store. 

7/11 Stores - There are plenty of Sanrio products that are exclusively sold in Korean 7/11 stores. From food, drinks, chocolates, and even limited edition transportation cards (T-money).
