“Parasite” Actor Lee Sun Kyun Passes Away

Top actor Lee Sun Kyun passed away at the age of 48.

On December 27, police revealed that actor Lee Sun Kyun was found unconscious inside a parked car in Waryong Park in Seoul. They also stated that they received an emergency call from a woman stating that her husband left a seemingly suicide note and had gone out of their house. The police then responded and later found and identified that it was actor Lee Sun Kyun. The police shared that they found lit charcoal briquettes inside his car suspecting his death to be suicide.

Lee Sun Kyun was rushed to the hospital but he eventually passed away.

The actor’s agency HODU&U Entertainment then confirmed the reports. According to the agency, Lee Sun Kyun passed away and his funeral home will be at the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital. They also asked the public to refrain from spreading and speculating rumors about the death of the actor.

Lee Sun Kyun’s funeral will be exclusive to his family and friends. It will not be open to the public. His burial site will be in Jeollanam-do.

This year has been a tough one for the actor. Early this year, Lee Sun Kyun was booked and busy with several projects. In October, the actor was accused of using illegal drugs. He continuously participated in the investigation of the police until recently.

Lee Sun Kyun’s last project before he passed away was the hit movie “Sleep” with actress Jung Yu Mi. The film was released in September. The actor was supposed to star in the upcoming film “The Land Of Happiness” with Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Jae Myung, Jin Ki Joo, and more.
