Lee Min Ho, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Ahn Hyo Seop, and more are confirmed to star in a new film! 

“Omniscient Reader” has already begun its production and they have also announced its official main cast!

The production company Smilegate revealed that Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, After School's Nana, Shin Seung Ho, BLACKPINK's Kim Ji Soo, and Park Ho San will be leading the upcoming movie. They all participated in the recent first script reading. According to the reports, the production has already begun and they will film earnestly. 

“Omniscient Reader” will be based on the popular webtoon of the same name created by Sing N Song. The upcoming film will be about Kim Dok Ja’s journey as he tries to save mankind from the Apocalypse that he read through a web novel. Kim Dok Ja is a normal worker whose life revolves around reading the web novel titled “Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.” One day, the happenings in the web novel come to life and he is the only person who knows how the world (story) will conclude. With his knowledge, he will do everything to change the happenings and save the world. 

It will be the next production of director Kim Byung Woo who also created the hit films “Take Point” and “The Terror Live.” It will be the first production of Smilegate Realize, the collaboration of Smilegate and Realize Pictures.

Lee Min Ho will play the role of Yoo Joong Hyuk, the main lead in the web novel “Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.” Ahn Hyo Seop will play the role of Kim Dok Ja, the main character of the film and the person who knows what will happen in the world because of his knowledge about the web novel. 

Chae Soo Bin will portray the role of Kim Dok Ja’s former workmate named Yoo Sang Ah. After School’s Nana will play the role of Jung Hee Won, the goddess of justice in the web novel. 

BLACKPINK’s Kim Ji Soo will portray the role of Lee Ji Hye, the current workmate of Yoo Joong Hyuk who will be with him in overcoming crisis. 

Shin Seung Ho on the other hand will portray the role of a former military named Lee Hyun Sung. Park Ho San will portray the role of Gong Pil Doo, a person who uses his wealth to control people. 

Omniscient Reader is set to premiere in 2025.
