Kim Soo Hyun is in talks to make his Disney+ debut!

Kim Soo Hyun may enter the world of Disney+. 

Various media outlets reported that Kim Soo Hyun will be starring in the upcoming Disney+ series titled “Knock Off” (working title).

With the circulating reports, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency has given their official statement. Gold Medalist states, “Kim Soo Hyun was offered to lead the K-drama ‘Knock Off’ and he is positively reviewing it.”

“Knock Off” will be created by director Park Hyun Suk. He is known for being the creator of the K-dramas “Uncontrollably Fond” and “Stranger Season 2.”

Kim Soo Hyun will be playing the main lead role and the upcoming black comedy K-drama will exclusively premiere on Disney+. There is no confirmation yet on the release date of the upcoming series. 

If Kim Soo Hyun finally confirms his participation to the upcoming K-drama “Knock Off,” this will be his second time starring in an OTT platform original drama. 

In 2021, the highest paid actor led the Coupang Play series “One Ordinary Day” with Cha Seung Won, Lee Seol, Kim Shin Rok, Kim Hong Pa, and Kim Sung Gyu.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun is currently starring in the tvN rom-com K-drama titled “Queen of Tears.” He is showcasing the life of a conglomerate husband. He works alongside  Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Lee Joo Bin, Kim Gab Soo, and more in the series. 

Although the series has only revealed four episodes, it already received double digit ratings. It is not only famous locally but many K-drama fans from all over the world are also watching it. 

“Queen of Tears” can be viewed through tvN and the global streaming platform Netflix.
