Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung will be the next K-drama couple!

Actor Jo Jung Suk is returning to historical K-dramas after five years. 

Broadcast channel tvN announced on October 31 that Jo Jung Suk will be working with actress Shin Se Kyung in the upcoming romance historical series titled “Sejak, The Enchanted.” 

tvN revealed that the upcoming K-drama “Sejak, The Enchanted” will be part of their weekend drama lineup and it is scheduled to premiere in January 2024. There is no specific airing date yet. 

“Sejak, The Enchanted” will unveil the love story between King Lee In and Kang Hee Soo. King Lee In is struggling to keep his royal and political power. Meanwhile, Kang Hee Soo plans to seduce the King to take revenge but instead, she falls for him. 

This will be the collaboration work of “The Good Detective” director Jo Nam Gook and writer Kim Sung Deok who is known for creating the historical masterpiece “The Crowned Clown.” 

Aside from Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung, other casts of the K-drama include Jo Sung Ha, Choi Dae Hoon, Jung Suk Yong, and Lee Kyu Hoe.

Jo Jung Suk will portray the character of King Lee In while Shin Se Kyung will give life to the character named Kang Hee Soo who will seduce the King. 

This will be the comeback of Jo Jung Suk to the K-drama world after three years. He was last seen in the hit “Hospital Playlist Season 2.” Actor Jo Jung Suk will also reportedly lead a new music variety show and will reunite with “Youth Over Flowers: Iceland” director, Yang Jung Woo.

Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung recently starred in the K-drama “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun” with Jang Dong Gun, Lee Joon Gi, Kim Ok Bin, Park Hae Joon, and Cha Yong Hak. “Sejak, The Enchanted” will be her next K-dram project.
