Media outlet STARNEWS recently reported that Jeon Do Yeon has been picked to be the main lead of the upcoming mystery thriller K-drama “The Price of Confession.” It was originally a K-drama that will be led by Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee but the two top actresses eventually turned down the series.

Jeon Do Yeon’s agency then gave a brief answer to the circulating casting news. According to Management SOOP, “Our artist Jeon Do Yeon got the offer to lead the new series and it is one of the works proposed to her. She is still reviewing it and nothing has been decided yet.”

“The Price of Confession” was supposed to be the project of famous director Lee Eung Bok who also created the hit K-dramas “Descendants of the Sun,” “Sweet Home,” “Goblin,” and more. Because of scheduling conflicts, the top director decided to decline the new series.

Now, the K-drama will be helmed by director Lee Jung Hyo, the same director of the hit K-dramas “Crash Landing on You” and “Doona!”

“The Price of Confession” will revolve around two women who will get entangled in a murder case.

Back in 2022, many anticipated the combination of Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee in one K-drama. Early this year, both Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee also showcased their excitement in working together for “The Price of Confession.” However, in May of this year, the two actresses surprised everyone and announced that they were stepping down from the K-drama after a long discussion with the production team.

There is no confirmation yet on which actors will possibly work alongside Jeon Do Yeon in “The Price of Confession.” The K-drama is set to air on an OTT platform.

Do you think Jeon Do Yeon is the best pick to replace Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee?
