IU confirmed to release a new album in February!

Before January ends, IU shared several good news for all her fans in the music and drama industry.

Last week, IU dropped her latest single “Love wins all” which garnered a perfect all-kill on the Korean music charts. This is the first song that achieved a perfect all-kill in 2024. IU also released a music video for the track and it featured BTS V. The music video was also directed by director Um Tae Hwa who recently directed the film “Concrete Utopia.”

While everyone is still talking about the masterpiece song “Love Wins All,” IU surprised everyone once again by revealing a teaser for her much-awaited new album.

Through the teaser mood film that IU released, it was confirmed that the top K-Pop singer will be releasing her sixth mini album titled “The Winning.” It was also confirmed that the album will be out on February 20 at 6 PM KST. Her pre-release single “Love wins all” will also be included in the album.

Aside from the much-awaited sixth mini album, it was also revealed on the same day that IU is confirmed to star in the Netflix original series “When Life Gives You Tangerines.”

Netflix released photos of the main casts of “When Life Gives You Tangerines” including IU, Park Bo Gum, Moon So Ri, and Park Hae Joon.

The upcoming romance melodrama will be helmed by director Kim Won Seok who created the hit K-dramas “Misaeng,” “Signal,” and IU’s previous drama “My Mister.”

This will be the grand comeback of IU on the small screen after five years since “Hotel del Luna.”

Many are also curious if IU will also participate in several promotions for her new album such as entertainment and music program guestings.
