BLACKPINK’s Lisa to make her acting debut through a new HBO drama!

After dominating the music scene, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is now ready to take on a challenge and start her acting career. 

According to the American media outlet Variety, BLACKPINK member Lisa will be part of the upcoming new season of the HBO drama “The White Lotus.” Lisa will be added as a new cast in the third season of the series. It was also revealed that Lisa will use her full name for the drama.

Lisa’s current agency LLOUD responded to the casting reports. According to them, “Lalisa Manobal is confirmed to join the Season 3 of the HBO original drama ‘The White Lotus.’”

The HBO original drama “The White Lotus” premiered in 2021. It was led by Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, Alexandra Daddario, Haley Lu Richardson, Meghann Fahy, and more. Lisa will be the newest addition to the cast. 

The drama tells the stories of people at the top luxurious hotel called White Lotus. The first season was set in Hawaii, the second season in Italy, and according to reports, the upcoming third season will be set in Thailand, the hometown of Lisa.

This will be the very first official acting project of Lisa since her debut. She will be the second BLACKPINK member to star in an HBO original drama. Last year, Jennie made her acting debut in the HBO series “The Idol.” 

Lisa will also be the third BLACKPINK member who will venture into acting. Jisoo has been starring in several Korean works and will continue with it while there are no reports yet if Jennie will act in another project again. Rosé on the other hand will possibly focus first on her solo music career aside from BLACKPINK activities.
