2NE1 members commemorate their 15th anniversary

2024 marked the 15th debut anniversary of one of the most famous K-pop girl groups, 2NE1. 

On the midnight of May 17, all four members of 2NE1 posted for their 15th anniversary. Through their posts, it was revealed that CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy reunited and had a photoshoot to celebrate the debut of 2NE1. The four members also relayed their gratitude and love to their fans BLACKJACKs in their captions.

In particular, 2NE1’s leader CL stated, “2NE1 has always been my house that made me feel the freedom to love, to play, to express, to create, to shine, to mix, to connect and share with people. Hope today 2NE1 reminds you to feel your light. Thank you always. NOLZA.”

After their photos of them together have been released, many are speculating that the 2NE1 members might be gearing up for something. 

On the morning of May 17, there were reports that 2NE1’s leader CL and YG Entertainment’s producer Yang Hyun Suk recently met in secret adding more suspicions that 2NE1 will release something together.

With this, YG Entertainment shared a brief statement regarding the meeting of CL and Yang Hyun Suk. The agency stated, “The meeting of the two is not an official schedule of the company. It is difficult to comment on.”

2NE1 with members CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy made their official debut on May 6, 2009, with their single "Fire". The girls released a total of two studio albums, two extended plays, eighteen singles, and two promotional singles in their entire career. The group officially disbanded in 2016. 

Two years ago, the 2NE1 members surprised everyone when they reunited and performed at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Many are hopeful that CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy will prepare something for their fans BLACKJACKS for their 15th anniversary.
